Standard #4- Instructional Delivery and Management- Physical education teacher candidates use effective communication and pedagogical skills and strategies to enhance student engagement and learning

Element 4.1- Demonstrate effective verbal and non-verbal communication skills across a variety of instructional formats.
Element 4.2- Implement effective demonstrations, explanations, and instructional cues and prompts to link physical activity concepts to appropriate learning experiances.
Element 4.3- Provide effective instructional feedback for skill acquistion, studnet learning, and motivation.
Element 4.4- Recognize the changing dynamics of the environment and adjust instructional tasks based on student responses.
Element 4.5- Utilize managerial rules, routienes, and transitions to create and maintain a safe and effective learning environment.
Element 4.6- Implement strategies to help students demonstrate responsible personal and social behaviors in a productive learning environment.

Artifact #1
Element 4.1- For this element I chose to use a couple pictures from my Lab D lesson. The first picture is a list of my class rules and the second picture is one of me in front of my cue poster and my wellness topic poster. This represents element 4.1 because it demonstrates the non-verbal communication by being on a poster. If at any point in the lesson a student is acting up I can point to the class rules poster and if at any point a student forgets about the cues or other important information, they can look at the posters hanging up.
