NASPE Standard 5

Standard #5- Impact on Student Learning- Physical education teacher candidates utilize assessments and reflection to foster student learning and inform instructional decisions.

Element 5.1-Select or create appropriate assessments that will measure student achievement of goals and objectives.
Element 5.2- Use appropriate assessments to evaluate student learning before, during, and after instruction.
Element 5.3- Utilize the reflective cycle to implement change in teacher performance, student learning, and instructional goals and decisions.

Artifact #1
Element 5.1- For this element I chose to use a Statistics and Assessments project. In this project we had to teach a pre-assessment and a post-assessment with a group and present to our "administrators, students, and parents". This artifact represents 5.1 because the psychomotor assessment was a checklist based on our three cues. This was a good assessment becasue it was easy to administer, and also it was easy to see if the students were performing the cues correctly. This will help me as a future educator because not only did I administer a good assessment, but I also had a chance to utilize Microsoft Office Exell which will come in handy when assessing students.
